Todays economy requires due diligent when replacing one’s furnace heating system in Chicago. Many consumers think that the lowest bid or estimate for their furnace that they receive is the way to go. However, that thinking can be wrong.
Just this morning I went to a home that had a new boiler installed by a well known HVAC Company in Chicago. The boiler wasn’t new (matter of fact, it was quite old) and the installation was horrendous. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. If you go with the low bid, make sure the hvac contractor provides you with a written estimate with the required home repair fraud pamphlet and 3 day right to rescind form. These few items at least prove the Hvac contractor is following the city of Chicago requirements.
Always have a written estimate, and if you’re comparing estimates, get a minimum of 3 estimates to compare apples to apples.
If you are unsure of a contractor performing hvac work for you, please don’t hesitate to call Around The Town Heating and Cooling and ask to speak with Ed or Don. We can give you sound advice, and we are always ready to help. Our motto is and has always been “whatever it takes”.
